Hare Matar Ki Chaat | हरे मटर की चटपटी चाट is one of my favorite food. I think this is one of the most popular street food in India. In India, I think most of us have had this recipe once in our whole life.

It’s so delicious and mouthwatering street food. The key business for these vendors starts with the chaats. I remember those days when we came out of college and the small stalls with a couple of street food, but the one who got attention by its smell and the flavor was the chaat. Early in those days, we get these charts from street vendors. But now a day, as the competition is growing high, the big shops and restaurants cannot compete with this street vendor on snacks. They started making these in their restaurants nowadays; if you move to any big city like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, or Bangalore. You can see a small shop in front of many restaurants serving Matar Chaat, Pani Puri, and many other street foods to increase their business and get some business in evening snacks.

But still, I bet that ’80s and 90’s people will miss the small stalls and the taste they brought in their food at those times. Today we will make this recipe with green peas, which we call Hari Matar. In this recipe we uses Tamarind Chutney and Green Chutney Recipe. In this recipe, we have tried to bring the authentic taste of the chaat we used to have in Stalls. Our recipe can be added to Masala Chaat, Samosa Chaat, Papadi Chaat, and even can be made as a Ghoogni chaat. Today in this recipe, we will be making Matar Chaat.
