Starters are basically served before the main course. These are primarily mouthwatering and delicious recipes. Once we reach a hotel and order a main course, it takes little time for the chef to prepare and serve it hot. So, in the meantime, they usually serve the starter.

Well, a small dish of food or a drink is taken before a meal. The main course of a meal, these tit-bits of food are known to increase appetite and thus known as Appetizers, which is just English to the French word Apéritif or Hors d’oeuvre or simply a Starter in colloquial.

Appetizers are light and exciting tiny meals or drinks that tantalize our taste buds. Increase our appetite/hunger, and prepare us for the “ride” to the main course. The flavors of the appetizers are often coordinated with the flavors of the main dish unless it is and a la carte.
